Current state: tools, plans and models

Checked on 16 October 2026

Watch out

This is the only page on the site with prices and model names. Prices, plans and models change often, sometimes from one month to the next.

Checked on 6 October 2026 (AI tools) and 16 October 2026 (online presence) against each service's official pages (list of sources at the bottom).

If you spot an out-of-date figure, tell us at inforjota.com/contact.

How to read this page: figures are shown as they appear on the official pages, in the currency printed there. On each row we say which market the price is for (for example, "Portugal, in euros") and whether it includes tax, when the page says so. Many English pages only show US dollars; where you live, the price you actually pay may be in euros and may include VAT. Where a page would not open, or did not show the number, we write "not confirmed on 06/10/2026, see official page" and link to it. We would rather say "not confirmed" than fill a gap from memory. This is how it looks on 6 October 2026; your screen may differ, so look for the button with the same name.

Chat assistants

These are the services where you type (or speak) and they answer. Where we could not confirm a figure, the cell says so.

Coding agents

A coding agent is a program that reads the files of a project, proposes changes and runs commands, with your permission. Course 2 shows how to use two of them. Here you only get what they cost and where they run.

Tool How you pay Where it runs Official page
Claude Code (Anthropic) Subscription or API account: the page says most surfaces need a Claude subscription or an Anthropic Console account (Anthropic's developer account). The desktop app needs a paid subscription. Claude's free plan does not include Claude Code. Plan prices: see the Claude row above (US dollars, excluding tax) Terminal, VS Code and JetBrains extensions, desktop app, web (claude.ai/code) and mobile app. The terminal, VS Code and JetBrains also accept third-party providers code.claude.com/docs/en/overview
Codex CLI (OpenAI) An eligible ChatGPT account or an API key. The pricing page says Codex is included in the Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Edu and Enterprise plans, the free plan included (confirmed on 6/10/2026); but for Free and Go the page only mentions the desktop app, "subject to rollout", and the CLI is only named from Plus upwards. With an API key, you pay for usage "based on API pricing". Plans: Free $0, Go $8, Plus $20, Pro from $100, Business $20 per user (annual) or $25 (monthly); in US dollars, with no mention of tax The CLI runs on your own computer, in the terminal: the first time, you choose to sign in with your ChatGPT account or another available method. Codex also runs in the ChatGPT desktop app, mobile app and web version, as an IDE extension and in the cloud ("Codex Cloud") learn.chatgpt.com/docs/codex/cli, learn.chatgpt.com/docs/pricing
GitHub Copilot (GitHub, part of Microsoft) Subscription, with AI credits included (1 credit = $0.01): Free $0 (limited chat and agent usage; 2,000 inline suggestions per month); Pro $10 per month ($15 in credits: $10 fixed plus a $5 variable extra); Pro+ $39 per month ($70 in credits: $39 + $31 extra); Max $100 per month ($200 in credits: $100 + $100 extra). The page warns that the variable extra may change. Paid plans have unlimited inline suggestions. In US dollars; the page does not say whether tax is included Editors and IDEs, CLI and GitHub (github.com and GitHub Mobile) github.com/features/copilot/plans
Gemini CLI (Google) Personal Google account (free tier: "60 requests/min and 1,000 requests/day", according to the README), or a Gemini API key (the README says 1,000 requests per day, with the option to move to a paid tier), or Vertex AI (organisations) Terminal, on your own computer github.com/google-gemini/gemini-cli

The Gemini CLI limits come from the project's README on GitHub, which carries no date. If they ever disagree with what you see, the official page wins.

Models

This section only says which models each provider lists as current and what they cost through the API (for people who program). It does not compare quality. Prices are per million tokens ("MTok"): first input (what you send), then output (what the model writes). A token is a piece of text: in English, about 0.75 of a word, according to Anthropic's documentation.

Anthropic (Claude)

Prices in US dollars (the page says all prices are in USD); it does not say whether tax is included. Sources: models overview and API pricing.

Model Input / Output per MTok Context window
Claude Fable 5.1 $10 / $50 1 million tokens
Claude Opus 5.5 $4 / $20 1 million tokens
Claude Sonnet 5.5 $2 / $10 1 million tokens
Claude Haiku 4.5 $1 / $5 200 thousand tokens

On Haiku 4.5, the page says it will not be retired before 15 October 2026.

The pricing table also lists earlier versions, among them Fable 5, Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Opus 4.8, 4.7, 4.6 and 4.5, and Sonnet 4.6 and 4.5. Before you pick an older version, check the documentation for a retirement date. Claude Mythos 5.1 is not open to the public: according to the page, it is offered separately, by invitation only, as part of "Project Glasswing".

OpenAI (ChatGPT and Codex)

Prices in US dollars, "Standard" tier; the page does not say whether tax is included. The price depends on the size of the request: the page calls requests up to 272 thousand input tokens "short context" and anything larger "long context", which costs more. Source: developers.openai.com/api/docs/pricing. The page openai.com/api/pricing/ did not open (error 403); this address is OpenAI's documentation site.

Model Short context (up to 272K input tokens): input / output per MTok Long context (over 272K): input / output per MTok
gpt-6-astra $10.00 / $50.00 $20.00 / $75.00
gpt-6.1-sol $2.00 / $10.00 $4.00 / $15.00

gpt-6-luna $0.10 / $0.50 $0.20 / $0.75

The same page has other price tiers (cheaper ones such as "Batch" and "Flex", and more expensive ones for faster answers) and also lists many earlier models (the GPT-5 series, including GPT-5.6, o1, o3, GPT-4.1, GPT-4o and others), which we do not reproduce here.

Google (Gemini)

Prices in US dollars; the page does not say whether tax is included. Source: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing. The API page shows newer models (3.8 Flash) than the subscriptions page, which mentions 3.6 Flash and 3.1 Pro: each page is updated at its own pace.

Mistral (Le Chat)

The pricing page shows only one example: Mistral Large at "$0.5 /M tokens" in and "$1.5 /M tokens" out. It has no full per-model table; for the rest, not confirmed on 06/10/2026, see mistral.ai/pricing.

Microsoft (Copilot) and Perplexity

Model names and API prices: not confirmed on 06/10/2026. The pages that opened do not give them (Microsoft) or did not open (Perplexity: perplexity.ai/pro).

Automation tools

They connect services to each other: when something happens in one (an email arrives, a row is added to a spreadsheet), the tool does something in another, without you having to be there. How to design these flows is explained in the lesson "Serious automation: Zapier, Make and n8n" (Course 1, Level 3).

Tool Company Free plan Paid plans (price per month, as on the page) Where it runs and notes Official page
Zapier Zapier Yes, Free $0 per month ("Free forever"): 100 tasks per month and two-step Zaps Professional from $19.99 per month; Team from $69 per month; Enterprise priced on request ("Contact for pricing"). These are the figures the page shows with yearly billing selected; with monthly billing: not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page On Zapier's servers (online service); the pricing page does not mention self-hosting. In US dollars by default (the page lets you pick other currencies, including the euro); it does not say whether tax is included. The page says AI steps are also charged in tasks, like other steps zapier.com/pricing
Make Make Exists: the help pages mention the "Free" plan. Limits: not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page Not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page. The help pages mention the Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise plans, paid in credits, with a monthly or annual subscription On Make's servers (online service); the help pages mention a dedicated server on the Enterprise plan. The pricing page did not open (error 403). Sources: help on the subscription and on changing plan make.com/en/pricing
n8n n8n On the service hosted by n8n: no free plan found on the pricing page; there is a free trial (1,000 executions, no credit card). The Community Edition, which you install yourself on your own computer or server, is free (the documentation says that without a licence key n8n runs as the "free Community edition") Starter 20€ per month (2.5K executions); Pro 50€ per month (10K executions); Business 667€ per month (40K executions); Enterprise priced on request ("Contact Sales"). Prices with annual billing ("billed annually"); with monthly billing: not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page Starter and Pro: on n8n's servers; the page says that on hosted plans the data stays in the EU, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Also self-hosted: Business is self-hosted only ("Self-hosted only"), Enterprise is your choice and the Community Edition is always yours. In euros; the page does not say whether VAT is included. How to install: n8n documentation n8n.io/pricing

AI/agent steps inside automations (a step where a model decides what to do): Zapier, yes. The "AI by Zapier" step can be given tools and picks the ones it needs ("AI by Zapier only uses the tools it needs to complete your prompt"). The page lists the Free, Professional, Team and Enterprise plans, but tools only work with "Advanced" or "Premium" models, which appear locked on Free. A Zap can also set an agent to work with the "Run Agent" action. See AI by Zapier with tools and agent from a Zap. Make, yes. The "Make AI Agent (New)" app, in open beta, uses a language model that is "like a brain that the agent uses to think and make decisions"; it is available on all plans, with Make's own AI provider. See Make AI Agent. n8n, yes. The "AI Agent" node connects a model to tools and the agent "decides which tools to call to complete a task"; the pricing page includes "Agents, MCP and AI nodes" from Starter up. See AI Agent node.

Agent features in the assistants

An agent does more than answer: it plans steps and carries them out, for example searching dozens of sources, opening websites and acting on them, or getting back to work at a set time. The lesson "What comes next: agents for non-programmers" (Course 1, Level 3) explains what they are and what limits to put on them. The table only says what the official pages said on 6 October 2026, with the feature name as it appears there. "Not found" means we read the official page and did not see the feature; it does not mean the feature does not exist.

Assistant Deep research Agent that browses websites Scheduled tasks Notes and official page
ChatGPT Yes ("Deep Research"). Which plans: not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page Yes ("Browser": opens websites, gathers current information and completes multi-step tasks on a website; on the web and in the desktop app). The page does not say which plans Yes ("Scheduled tasks", managed in "Scheduled"). On the web and mobile, "eligible plans" can also start a task when something happens in Gmail, Slack or GitHub; the page does not list those plans OpenAI's help pages and the ChatGPT pricing page did not open (error 403). We used the official documentation: Browser, Scheduled tasks and the API Deep Research guide, which mentions "Deep Research in ChatGPT"
Claude Yes ("Research"): Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise; for Free, the table says "No" Yes ("Claude in Chrome": reads the page, clicks, types and fills in forms; "Available on all paid plans"; for Free, the table says "No"). Cowork also has its own built-in browser Yes. The Pro plan includes "Hand off and schedule tasks"; the Cowork page says "Schedule a task for any cadence, and it runs unattended" The pricing page says Claude Cowork is now just called Claude and is rolling out to Pro and Max, "with more plans to follow". Sources: claude.com/pricing, Claude in Chrome, Cowork
Gemini Yes ("Deep Research"): listed in the free plan on the Portuguese plans page, and Google AI Pro gives "more access" ("mais acesso"). The Deep Research page mentions 150 countries and more than 45 languages Yes ("auto browse", in Gemini in Chrome), but the page requires being 18 or over, being in the US, the device set to English, and Google AI Pro or Ultra. The "Gemini Spark" agent, which also uses auto browse, is not available in the European Economic Area (nor in Nigeria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom). Going by these two pages, it is not available in Portugal Yes ("Scheduled actions"): personal accounts (the page says it is being made available gradually) and Workspace accounts on qualifying editions; up to 10 active at a time; works with or without a Google AI plan (with a plan, the content is prepared closer to the scheduled time) Sources: plans (Portugal), Deep Research, auto browse, Gemini Spark, Scheduled actions
Copilot Yes ("Researcher", "Investigador" on the Portuguese page): the Portuguese page lists it among the features exclusive to Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro. Microsoft says "Deep Research" is no longer available in the Copilot app for consumers after 18 August 2026 Yes ("Browse with Copilot", in Microsoft Edge: clicks, types and moves between tabs). For consumers, the page says it is rolling out to Microsoft 365 Premium subscribers in the US, "with additional markets to follow" Yes ("Scheduled prompts", up to 10). The page requires Copilot Chat, Copilot in Teams or Outlook, and says "A Microsoft Copilot license is required" Sources: consumer plans (Portugal), end of Deep Research, Browse with Copilot, Scheduled prompts
Le Chat Yes ("deep research"): the product page says "Run deep research"; the pricing page says Pro gives more "deep research reports" than Free Not found on the official page on 6 October 2026 Yes ("Task scheduling": "Schedule prompts, agents, or workflows to run automatically at set times"). Free: up to 5; Pro and Team: "Unlimited", subject to fair usage limits Mistral now calls the assistant "Vibe" ("Le Chat is now Vibe"). The product page says the free plan gives you quick answers, web search and simple tasks, and that agents and long tasks are on Pro. Sources: mistral.ai/pricing, mistral.ai/products/vibe
Perplexity Not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page Not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page Not confirmed on 6 October 2026, see official page The Perplexity pages we tried (plans, help, blog) returned error 403.

Minimum age and terms

This is only what is written on the terms and help pages we managed to open. This is not legal advice. Before giving an account to a minor, read the service's own terms.

The Gemini Apps help page says that for personal or school accounts, "You must be 13 (or the applicable age in your country) or over"; for work accounts, "You must also be 18 or over". Source: support.google.com/gemini/answer/13278668. Note: this is a help page, not the full terms.
  • Le Chat (Mistral). Consumer terms for the European Union: "You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Mistral AI Products"; a minor also needs permission from a parent or legal guardian, where required. Source: legal.mistral.ai/terms/eu-consumers-terms-of-service.

Online presence: reference figures (October 2026)

This section serves the course Website and online presence for your business. Figures with cents were read on the official pages on 16 October 2026 (sources at the bottom); the ranges marked "about" are orders of magnitude to guide you, not list prices. Every service has several plans and promotions, and figures "excluding VAT" still take VAT on top (23 % in mainland Portugal, 16 % in the Azores, 22 % in Madeira). Always check the service's site before deciding.

Domain (lesson The domain)

  • .pt at OVHcloud: 16.99 € excluding VAT for the first year; renewal 13.39 € excluding VAT per year. Directly at DNS.PT, the price list is at www.pt.pt. Other European registration agents are in the same range: about 10 to 20 € per year.
  • .com: about 10 to 20 € per year, depending on the registrar and first-year promotions.

Professional email (lesson Professional email on your own domain)

  • Google Workspace Business Starter: 6.80 € per user per month, excluding VAT (the page announces a 50 % promotion for new customers between 30 October 2026 and 30 January 2027). Other providers (Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, Proton, IONOS) have plans between about 1 and 7 € per user per month; the cheapest give less storage and fewer features.

Website builders and hosting (lesson The website)

  • Squarespace: 12 to 17 € per month on the entry plan (Basic) and 18 to 24 € on Core; the lower figure is with annual payment. Wix, Webnode, Hostinger and similar are in the same range, between about 10 and 30 € per month on business plans, often with the domain included for the first year.
  • Shared hosting (for a site built by someone else, for example in WordPress): about 3 to 10 € per month, almost always with the HTTPS certificate included.
  • Google Business Profile, Search Console and registration in the Electronic Complaints Book: free.

Bookings (lesson Online bookings and appointments)

  • Appointment schedulers (Calendly, Zcal, Google Calendar appointment pages and similar) have free plans with limits (a single booking type, no SMS reminders) and paid plans between about 10 and 20 € per user per month.

Payments (lesson Taking payments online)

  • Stripe: 1.5 % + 0.25 € per payment with a standard European card; MB WAY through Stripe, also 1.5 % + 0.25 €.
  • ifthenpay: MB WAY 0.07 € + 0.7 %; Multibanco reference 0.20 € + 1.5 %; no monthly fee (figures excluding VAT).
  • Other providers (SumUp, Viva Wallet, myPOS, easypay, PayPal) are between about 1 and 3 % plus a small fixed amount per operation; physical terminals have their own pricing. Always compare on a typical sale of yours, not on the headline percentage.

Security (lesson Keeping it alive and safe)

  • Password managers: Bitwarden has a free personal plan and Premium costs 19.80 $ per year (about 1.65 $ per month). Other well-known managers (1Password, Proton Pass, and KeePassXC, free and open source) are between 0 and about 4 € per month.
